The most important impact of the MYLead Conference is the positive influence it has on the lives of individual participants. The Region Sponsorship covers the incremental costs associated with 30 students attending the MYLead Conference. Sponsorship can either be applied where needed or earmarked for a specific region of the state, such as a county or metropolitan area. The Region Sponsorship is ideal for a regional organization seeking to benefit the local community by supporting MYLead.

Help feed the hunger of our young leaders! Meals provide participants with rejuvenating energy during our intensive program. Additionally, mealtime provides home groups the opportunity for thoughtful discussion about the day’s activities. The Meal Sponsorship is applied toward the costs associated with providing one meal during the conference.

Activities at the conference include motivational speakers, debates, panel discussions, and team building exercises, giving participants direct interaction with outstanding, diverse leaders from the community, business, and civic organizations. An Activity Sponsorship assures the funding to provide one of these activities.

All participants, Team Alumni, Group Facilitators, and MYLead staff are provided with complimentary MYLead t-shirts at the MYLead Conference. For participants, the t-shirt serves as a memento of a productive and unforgettable conference experience. Staff and facilitator shirts are differentiated by color. A T-Shirt Sponsorship is applied toward the cost of supplying these conference t-shirts.

The most memorable aspect of the weekend for many participants is the home group discussions. These small group discussions give participants an opportunity to express their views, receive peer response to those thoughts, and respond to the views of their peers. The Home Group Sponsorship is applied toward the cost associated with providing a home group experience.

New to MYLead for 2008: Enable MYLead alums to initiate service projects in their local communities. Our previous experience has found MYLead alums have impactful service ideas, but are overwhelmed in trying to both plan a project and raise the necessary funds. This sponsorship will support at least one alumni service project mini-grant. All mini-grant projects submitted by alumni are carefully reviewed and subject to approval of the MYLead board of directors.
