Employment
Beverly’s employment history includes being a civilian office employee for the US Navy in Bay City, an Executive Secretary at Ford Motor Company, a stay-at-home mom (volunteering in the schools during this time), and an independent contractor for a consumer survey company.
Education
Bev graduated from Handy High School in Bay City and has taken some community college classes in business. She believes her most valuable education has occurred as an amateur "Student of Human Behavior," which has helped her understand and encourage other people in joint endeavors.
Leadership Experience
Bev has been the president of General Federation of Women's Clubs - Dearborn for 18 years of her 28 years of membership. She was GFWC Michigan Southeastern District President for 3 years. She has been a GFWC Michigan Board Member - 6 years as District president and 7 years as Endowment/Fox Fund Chairman. She continues to serve on several committees of the state wide organization. She was a Girlstown Foundation Board member for 14 years, serving 8 years as Board treasurer.
Service
Bev provides GFWC volunteers for registration duties at the MYLead conferences. She is also the liaison between MYLead and GFWC clubs; encouraging these clubs to assure their local schools send a student the conference and then sponsor the attendance of those students. Bev follows up with school counselors to encourage them to send a student to conference and has got others to help with that job.
