MY story

I have been involved with MYLead since its inception. I have been a member of Team Alumni, the Co-Director of Team Alumni, a Group Facilitator, Assistant Director of Programming, the Director of Group Facilitators, and now the Conference Co- Chairperson. I look forward to many, many more years of involvement with MYLead!

Employment

I am a social worker at a continuing care retirement community in suburban chicago. I absolutely adore my residents and enjoy working with older adults.  Even though I enjoy living and working in Chicago my heart remains in Michigan. 

Academics

I graduated from Western Michigan University in 2006 with a BA in Organizational Communication and Sociology. In May 2009 I earned my Master’s degree in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago. I am a Licensed Social Worker in the state of Illinois.

Daily routine

I wake up by 5am, take my dog for a walk on the beach and I'm out the door by 7am to sit in traffic for an hour. After my hour commute home, I try to exert as little energy as possible. I love spending my evenings curled up with my pup watching trashy TV. Our favorite channels are Bravo, TLC, E! and NBC. When I have the energy I like to get out and enjoy the beautiful city I call home.
