MY story

Erika attended the 2008 MYLead Conference and is currently the Secretary of the MYLead Achievement Program (MAP).

Leadership

In addition to MYLead activities, Erika volunteers weekly at the Mid-Michigan Children’s Museum and, throughout the summer of 2008, volunteered at the Saginaw Children’s Zoo at Celebration Square.  She is very active in her school’s Student Council and plans to run for Vice-President in the 2008-2009 school year.

Employment

Erika has worked part-time as a receptionist at Dion’s Westside Barbershop since October 2007.

Academics

Erika is a junior at Saginaw Arts and Sciences Academy (SASA), where she has attended classes for the past five years, and maintains a 4.0 GPA.  She is in the Math/Science program and a mandatory science fair nerd.  ☺

Daily routine

In her abundant free time (not!), Erika enjoys reading, camping, playing the flute, taking hip-hop and tap dance classes, and hanging out with her family.  She also enjoys spending time with her two cockapoos and German shepherd puppy.
