MY story
Sara is passionate about leadership, branding, and public relations and advertising. She loves food, trying new things, meeting new people, and all-in-all just having a good time. Sara is extremely passionate about changing the world every single day!
Leadership
Sara has been involved with MYLead since its founding in 2002. She loves working in groups, inspiring others and helping others to realize their potential – and this keeps her coming back to MYLead every year. She was a member of Team Alumni for three years, has helped with the MYLead Recruitment, was Assistant Director of Programming in 2006, Director of Programming for 2007 and 2009, and is again Director of Programming for 2010.
Sara also volunteers with various organizations in the community when her schedules allows.
She was Vice President of the Michigan State University Advertising Association during the 2007-2008 academic year, organizing meetings, tours and activities for association members to expand their knowledge and understanding of the advertising industry. Currently, she is a Professional Advisor to the Wayne State University American Advertising Federation, offering advice and answering any questions that college students in the field have during their time in school.
Employment
Sara currently works in field marketing, with Reebok. Prior to joining Reebok, she spent time in account management at BBDO Detroit advertising agency working on the Dodge business.
Academics
Sara holds a B.A. with high honor from Michigan State University, in Advertising with a specialization in Public Relations.
Daily routine
Sara is close with her friends and family, and makes an effort to see them as often as possible. She enjoys working out, running, shopping, playing sports, reading, writing, design, and fasion. Sara also finds delight in new foods and wines, and loves to travel!
